ADOPT A FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS 2017
2017 ADOPT A FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS will open for applications September 5th 2017.
The Adopt a Family Association was created to provide a short-term safety net and caring temporary assistance support to Greater Cleveland area families and those in crisis working to maintain a stable home environment for their children as they overcome traumatic socioeconomic circumstances.
If you were supported previously in the Adopt a Family for Christmas Program within 3 years, (2013) you will not be eligible for assistance this year. Only families truly needing help for the holidays for the first time through this program are our priority, please complete the attached form and return it back to the address listed along with the listing of needs for the children on a separate sheet of paper.
With the application, you must supply a copy of a photo identification with your current address and a working phone number. An interview appointment will be scheduled and at that time you must provide verification of income documentation and a copy(s) of the birth certificate for each child that you list on the application. For families residing more than 15 miles of our Parma office or use the bus as means of transportation, we will conduct a phone interview however, you must have all the necessary documents enclosed with your application, i.e. copies (not originals)of birth certificate, proof of income and valid ID and the children wish list.
IF we are unable to reach you by phone or , miss your scheduled appointment; YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED.
NO WALK- INSOR LEAVING APPLICATIONS IN THE MAIL BOXES WITHOUT PROPER POSTAGE PROCESS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN YOUR APPLICATION BEING REJECTED. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
WE CANNOT PROMISE OR GUARANTEE YOUR FAMILY WILL BE ADOPTED, SELECTIONS ARE MADE BASED ON THE SPONSORS CRITERIA REGARDING THE FAMILY SIZE AND LOCATION OF THE SPONSORS.
