Adopt a Family for Christmas Event
It is unfortunate that we were unable to have all of the families that had applied to the program to be adopted. So the Adopt a Family Association hosted a Christmas event for 120 children that were not able to participate in the program.
We want to say thank you to all of the Dollar Bank customers and VIP Pet Center that donated toy, games and other miscellaneous items for the children. It was greatly appreciated and we want to thank Dollar Bank for allowing its branches to be collection locations for this event. We also want to thank WKYC , Channel 3 for their partnership in this event which aired on various times during their scheduled programming.
Last but not least I want to thank all of those who volunteered their time to help with the wrapping of all of the donated gifts from over 20 Dollar Bank branches.
BROWN"S Preseason Game
Members of the Adopt a Family Association invited to participate as career speakers for the school's Career Day. The presentation that we discuss had to do with working in the non profit field.
Madeline Medley, Executive Director presented her journey and discussed the inner workings of the organization. She also made a point to the students to stay in school because whatever career path the students take, education is very important.
We want to thank Chuck Caldwell from the Parma City School District for allowing us to reach out to the students.
